The return of Artscape in Baltimore was like a brush stroke on an empty canvas ready to create something beautiful, bold and magical. A moment for the arts to blossom. Despite the weather conditions a love for arts, and culture filled the atmosphere, and the people weathered the storm. So many people showed up to enjoy the activities, concert, and exhibits. The gallery spaces were perfect for the showings and created a vibrant environment while admiring the artwork of various contributors on different scales using mediums of art. I had the chance to chat with Baltimore artist Eugene Coles. Q: How long did this piece Winter in America take to complete? A: A few months, but this was over 50 years ago. The artwork exemplifies and provides a historical marker for the Baltimore Movement. The Heather Grey Gallery had 0520 CARGO exhibit which was very unique in design and materials. Artscape 2023 was a great time and moment to share and embrace the love for arts and culture.
